Councillor Vacancy

Following insufficient names being received for a formal election, BPC are now in the position to co-opt two new members on to the Parish Council, to qualify you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of any other member state of the European Union

 You must meet at least one of the following four qualifications:

  • Be registered as a local government elector for the local authority area in which you wish to stand.
  • Have occupied as owner or tenant any land or other premises in the local authority area during the whole of the last 12 months. 
  • Your main or only place of work during the last 12 months has been in the local authority area.
  • You have lived in the local authority area during the whole of the last 12 months.

Licensing Application

At the meeting of 3rd April, the Parish Council discussed its potential objections to the license application for the 2013 Bentworth Blues Festival. The Parish Council is pleased to confirm that following discussions between the Parish Council, the licensee, the licensing authority and neighbours, the queries have been resolved and the Parish Council has withdrawn its objections to the application.
